If I'm a smaller woman am I more likely to need to undergo a C-section?

Not only that but most of the babies on my & my fiances side of the family were bigger sized babies. I'm trying to conceive and I just ran across a "maternal mortality" statistic connected to that :( Would l birth be dangerous?
