My computer keyboard stopped working!?

My keyboard is from acer, and when i plug it into the correct slot, it doesnt turn on for some reason. I check on the computer keyboard devices, and it says that the keyboard is working properly... I can't type anything in!!! I check for Num Lock, and caps, but nothing happens.
